Here is the deal, I just finished putting my mustang back together and I can't seem to get the A/C to work. I replaced the evaporator coil since it was leaking and now according to my gauge, the system is under pressure and maintains it. The problem is that I am not getting any cold air. When I start the car, after a little while, the out line from the evaporator gets a little cold but that is it. The compressor will engage for very short period of time and stop... I did as suggested in the manual and I shorted the input to the accumulator and the compressor came on and stayed on but the thing didn't really get cold. I thought maybe there was not enough freon in the system but I don't want to over charge it and risk blowing something... Any suggestions? Thanks D.
