put a 5 speed in it.  autos are slow, they suck and arent good for performance.  go with the 5 speed and go way over 100 mph.  later

Automatics are not slow jackass, given they do not transfer power as efficiently as a manual tranny.   Most professional drag racers use automatics, yes they are fast, and very consistent.   But to the guy with the prob. does your car cut of at 100 MPH or is drag limited to that speed.   ,Your welcome     Jon      95 Ford probe SE Powered by mazdas FS 2.0   0-60 7.2 sec, .91 Gs Done with G-TECH          Top speed 132 MPH, 2002 mustang GT verified.

Thanks for the reply. My car cuts of at 100 mph's,ill accelerate to the ground and it will stay at 100.Might it be the manufacter computer not letting it exceed any faster.

If it cuts out violently, as someone cut the ignition it is the ECU limiting your speed. There are two things you can do: Get superchips ( 1-888 car chip ) to take off the speed limiter, or you can put a bypass switch on your speed sensor ( cuts spedo off but lets you go as fast as your car has HP.) I have done this to my car, the switch is mounted in a empty acc. switch holder in my console. I only activate it when I need to go over 110.

Find someone with an OTC scanner with program software and flash the computer. It will save you money and you can get the performance you want. >

first of all dont call me jackass.  i never said " all automatics suck and if u drive an auto your car sucks blah blah" etc.  so quit talkin shit. pretty lame.  i said probe's with auto's are alow and if u wanna go fast in a probe u need the 5 speed for the gearing.  put that in ur pipe and smoke it, prick.
