Hi Group, this is my first post to fordstars.. I have been a Yahoogroups member for some time. I am trying to repair my wife's 93 driver side electric window and it seems the drivers switch only gives voltages for her window to go down, not up. Looks like the dual cherry switch has gone bad again, but my real problem is that the interior trim panel and grey plastic mount on the chassis wiring for them has been repaired too many times. I may need to splice a piece of some other 93 door chassis wiring into her car. Any ideas for pick and pull? I don't think Ford supplies these directly anymore. I will try to post a couple of pictures. thanks for any quidance, Fred E Wahl

My now-deceased '89 had a dead window. The dealers didn't source the switch, locally. However, you know the HELP! section at most discount auto parts places? I found I could adapt a GM switch from that section at Pep Boys - and it worked electrically with the stock electrical coupling. However, I had to widen the hole in the trim panel slightly with a Dremel, and mount it with a couple a screws and nuts that showed. Plus, it was chrome, instead of the colored ones on the passenger side. It was certainly okay for my purposes.   I know that Motormite does have a listing for the Aerostar switches that fit properly, but you'll probably have to order them.   AC
