Help!! Girlfriend has a '96 Ranger with the 2.3 litre, and we're looking for a way to get some more horsies out of it - boat towing plans in the near future! Any ideas, experiences, with exhaust and carb' systems would be greatly appreciated!!

#1 -- You're going to have a tough time pulling a boat with that truck, unless it's under 20'... One thing that will help is to change to a hight gear in your rear end.

Things you can to to up the horses ...
1 - K&N Air Filter can help with about 3-5HP
2 - Upgrade the computer chip
3 - Headers always help, if you can find one for a 2.3.
4 - Upgrade the carb, if an upgrade is available.
5 - Upgrade to a more free-flow exhaust.

Good luck
