I just got my 96pse and I thought I was doing it a favor by degreasing the engine. Well, I sprayed it off at the car wash and apparently I got some electrical components wet that I shouldn't have. I got an idiot light and the car ran like crap for a day. I think it finally dried out but the light is still on. How do I reset the computer? I took the battery cable off and I'm still waiting to see if that works. Any way to reset the computer manually? Next question. I have a very slight hesitation around 3500 rpms in every gear. It only last a split second and then I get power back. Any diagnosis? Final question. I want to replace my plugs, wires and distributor cap. Any reccomendations for optimum performance? Thanks for the help. Love this car! ramrine@...

Last time I cleaned my engine I ruined the wires. The water gets down in the plug wells and fouls the wires. When you replace them, hopefully you'll be lucky and they'll come out in one piece. If not, I've found a metal coat hanger works best for digging out the little piece that gets left behind. Don't be surprised if the next set of wires fall apart on you too.
