Last time I cleaned my engine I ruined the wires. The water gets down in
the plug wells and fouls the wires. When you replace them, hopefully
you'll be lucky and they'll come out in one piece. If not, I've found a
metal coat hanger works best for digging out the little piece that gets
left behind. Don't be surprised if the next set of wires fall apart on
you too.
