I found a 4.6 out of a 97 crown vic and i want to swap into my 94 bird with a 4.6. What will i need to consider, before the swap and is it a easy swap? Also I found a 5.4 out of a 2000 expedition, other then the intake is it a easy bolt in or is it more difficult then that? i'd rather have the 5.4, but i am getting tired of headaches.

For the CV engine you will need 96-97 Thunderbird/Cougar fuel lines, and an upper intake off a 96-97 Thunderbird/Cougar or 96-98 Mustang and tap a hole into it for your brakes. Might need the fuel rails, not sure since all you are going to gain is about 15tq by swapping I haven't bothered to look into it. The 5.4 you'll need a van intake on top of the above stuff, custom motor mounts, and the 4.6 is still making more power than the 5.4 even after people have modified both.
