Please man don't do it. Do not go to the jusk yard and get one for the same price look at jspecs. There truely a probe 2.0 enigine but it takes a while to get it since it comes from overseas but at least it is new. Just a suggestion , but don't be like me and get screwed that way, I ingested water in 3 cylinders in mine and the insurance co. replace with a junker now my car sucks and is not that much fun to drive any more. For the value you surely can't beat that. Mark 95se >

From what I have heard people tell me on Probetalk, do NOT get a J-spec engine. They are too much hassle to get working right and to install. The one person I know of that did the swap actually put BACK his original engine because of all the problems. Also, Corksport never seems to have these engines readily available, so you will wait a good couple months before it gets here. more experienced Probe gurus would tell you to get a 2.0 engine from the junkyard and put a j-spec cam, intake, and pistons on it if you want j-spec performance without the hassle of installation.

Thats correct, and tats almost what I did. I got a junked engine (rear end collision) and rebuilt it, new pistons, same intake manifold (ported it out), took out all the emissions crap, dropped in an MSD with magnecores, CAI, exhaust, higher compression and now the car basically beats out the GT... its more fun that way anyway :o) Alex 94PSE lots of mods Get your small business started at Lycos Small Business at http://www.lycos.com/business/mail.html
