Two months ago I purchased a 94 GT convert. automatic w/5.0 liter HO w/ 135k on the clock as a "summer toy". The seller informed me of the "check engine" light coming on and so made me an offer I couldn't refuse. The car ran fine except for the light coming on and an intermittent miss. Well, to make a long story short, $1500 later the "check engine" light is now off but there still is a slight intermittent miss at idle and under light throttle the engine surges, but that might be the result of that miss. Under load (accelerating) the engine runs fine. Also, the car seems to run better with the OD locked out. So far I've replaced the distributor, ICM (ignition control module), plug wires, the plugs checked out fine, both O2 sensors, Ford dealer cleaned and tested the injectors. My hope is that someone here has run across the same problem and can advise me as to what the problem might be. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
