When I had to replace my '94 base wire set, I was astounded at the prices
and looked for alternatives. By looking thru the list of cars at Pep
Boys
wire center, I found that an Escort ('95, I think) had a twin cam engine.
Turns out the plug wires are almost identical and were priced $60
cheaper!
They have been working fine for a couple thousand miles.
The main difference was one end of the coil/distributor wire. I left the
old one there and replaced the wires to the plugs. The miss I had
disappeared. I'll have to do a little "engineering" if the coil wire
goes
bad.
