Make sure you get both cap & rotor from the same manufacturer. I had
gotten different brands on my '95 and the prts did'nt fit together
properly. It cost me quite a bit of cash to find why my car ran so bad-
didnt find out why until I finally checked my NEW cap & rotor. The cap,
while fully pushed into place had scraped the back of the cap to produce
lots of metal & plastic dust under the cap while the center contact
burned because it didn't contact with the cap at all. Who would have
thought to check their new parts ?
Also- I was told by Summit that the NGK wires are pretty near same as
stock. If you want to upgrade while replacing go with some Nology or
Mgnecor wires , a sales rep at where you order them from should know the
differences-If not go to someone who knows what they sell.
A word of advise to everyone- stay away from these nonsence multi-
electrode spark plugs. With only one + terminal (or vice-versa) you
still only get only one spark while the other electrodes get a chance to
foul.It makes a good sales pitch though!!! Also, when upgrading through
"bolt-ons" don't be discouraged if you don't get pushed back into your
seat when you hit the throttle. The amount of power achieved per bolt-on
is only a small amount. It is these small amounts though, that add-up to
bigger numbers.I had only the K&N filter, magnecor ig. wires, platinum
plugs, & MSD ignition on my car and didn't seem to notice any
gains
