2005 ford escape 4cyl 5sp 94,000mi

it has little or no power below 2,000 rpm after warming up. sometimes it will hardly pull itself down the road to the point of being dangerous. once i reach about 2,000rpm we have plenty of power. its not the catalytic converters.

today i just noticed that when its warmed and i try to accelarate, the ign timing drops to around 1 degree btdc . she will slowly wind up to about 2K then it goes to 20-25 btdc and i have all the power i could want,

i didnt see where the timing was at when it was cold and had power from a dead stop.

i have no check engine light and my code reader does not read any stored codes...

i will get a code for the O2 sensor, if i pull the plug for it

any ideas?

i just bought this, the first 600-800 mile it drove fine
