A friend's '94 Probe 4cyl has the check engine light on....I look under the hood and lo and behold there's the DIAGNOSTICS box I'm used to seeing on my '94 RX-7. Open it up, and its got the same sticker underneath....cool...get out my paperclip, stick it in GND, and there's nothing in the hole for TEN. Oooops. I get online, and all the procedures to get the codes say to jumper TEN and GND. What's going on here? Did they put the connector in the wrong hole? I don't want to go jumping stuff willy-nilly and short out the ECU or something.

It's about the same size, and kind of triangle shaped with a second small 2 pin connecter that comes out of the wiring harness with it. Ford had it put there so they could access the computer the same way as the rest of their cars. All Fords have the same style, so if you have any friends with fords they could show you.

Okay. Cool. I don't have any Ford friends (that know anything about their cars), but I'll dig around for it. The smaller 2 pin connector is the one I need to jumper?
