I was considering it, before I decided to go the turbo route, but I had talked with a shop in Florida that installed a NOS kit on a 2.0L (Same probe that also had the turbo, forgot his name) Probe. They said before the turbo install he was running a 80 hp shot. I even design and made an electronic throttle positiion indicator to trigger the NOS at full throttle. Much more reliable that the mechanical switch they give you. Enjoy, Bryan Pendleton >

Jason, The systems you want to go with is the 75 to 125hp system. You want to start around 75 hp until you make sure everything is ok. Most of these systems do not have a pressure gauge but this is something vital to any NOS system so make sure you get one. If you get a dry systems you will need a secondary fuel system as well. Most of these systems have everything you need to make it safe for your engine. Now for damage to an engine caused by NOS. Some things you need to make sure of before hitting the NOS. Make sure your engine is getting enough fuel under NOS load. You see NOS is a oxidizer which means it adds O2 to the air charge. This creates a lean condition and this is what causes damage to valves and pistons. Low bottle pressure can cause poor NOS performance. Make sure all fuel solnoids are working because of what was said before. ZEX or NOS are good starter systems just make sure you read the instructions 1st!

I saw a nitrous 2.3L Pinto run 10.40s at Maple Grove Dragway in PA in summer of 2001.  But it was all race car.  I forget how big a shot it was but at 10.40 they must have had about 500 HP.    Jack in Orlando
