Drives: ford f150 xlt 4x4 5.4

Hey all,
I've got an 06 supercab xlt 4x4 with the 5.4.Whenever it shifts into O.D. at normal acceleration, about 2700-3000 rpms, and 45-50 mph, it drops rpms quickly to about to about 1500. It doesn't slip or anything it just drops quickly. Is it the converter locking up or some other prob?
