Has anyone had a problem with their odometer and trip odometer not working? Mine just stopped working. Checked all the connections and fuses. Even replaced the whole instrument cluster and it still isn't working. Could it be the speed sensor? Oil pressure, water temp., amperage, tach, and speedometer all work. What gives? I'm on my last nerve with this car. Just about to get rid of it and get a new Mustang. I really like the Tbird. Just have too many problems. Any help anyone can give me would be great.

Hi, I believe that the 89 and newer t-birds have an electrical sending unit mounted on the rear left of the transmission. That could be your problem.I had the same problem with my first t-bird. Turned out that the unit just rotted out and stop sending a signal. Good luck

I sure appreciate the reply. Are you talking about the one on the driver side near where the driveshaft goes into the tranny? It is about 2" long I think. Looks like it unscrews and has a 2 or 3 wire connector? If so, that is also where the speedometer comes from too I think. Thanks very much for the help.
