I found the Motocraft FL 2005 filter is about half again as long as the OEM FL 910 which is recommended. It has the same size gasket base and same size threads so why not
get more bang for you buck. Bosch SKU W0133-1639046 same size as the 2005.
I found the Motocraft at Advance Auto and the Bosch here http://www.car-stuff.com/mmparts/ford-focus/oil_filter.html

Ford recently approved the use of Mercon V where Mercon is called for. Mercon V is half synthetic therefore tolerates friction and resulting heat better. Also for use in power steering units where it calls for Mercon. As I understand it, no difference in the formula other than "V" being half synthetic.
