Hello I am new to this club and to Bronco's. I
just bought a 83' with a 460 in it. Problem is the
rear main was leaking and the oil pump needed changing
due to low oil pressure after warming up. I like big
numbers in the oil pressure dept. Well I ended up getting
the oil pan loose from the block with no trouble, but
it will not come out. The front end is stock and the
oil pan valley is in the middle of the pan. I took
the engine mounts off, tranny mounts, and disconnected
the headers from the exh pipes too, lifted the engine
up and still no luck. Can't go forward with the pan
because the valley hits the crossmember and it can't come
back any further because the oil pump hits the front
of the pan. Is there a special pan that I can put on
the keep this from happening? I have no problem
taking this one off with a torch.
Thanx a
bunch,
Scott
