I need some help. I have a 94 4.6 tbird with 130K. The car's leaking coolant, loosing oil(somehow), and over heating. I can't tell exactly where the fluid is coming from, but when it over heated, smoke was bellowing out from right under the altenater. Also I can see that the coolant had been leaking on the pullies. I have the heatercore by- passed but it doesn't look like anything is leaking from there. Is it a blown headgasket, head, what? Would the oil and coolant be mixing and leaking. Gauge does not read low oil press. but can't see it on the dipstick. Thanx for any help.

Rust colored water is probably just that, water with sploches of dark fluid that floats on the water (picture: http://tinyurl.com/cprvp ) is oil. If there is a good deal of rust in the water then yes, it can eat up the water pump and cause it to leak. I would take the alternator off (two bolts on top one underneath) and take a look to see where the water is pooling (if it's not just leaking from the front of the block)

If it is a 4.6 the gain you get from the pulleys will be very minimal. Not worth the money if you ask me, sent them back at 20% restock fee.
