Hi,yesterday after work the weather was nice only like 83 F so the niddle was during my trip back home pointing the "R" witch I think that it will be normal. The curious is that when I stop in a traffic light starts going up a little bit "M" and then when I start driving again in green light the niddle was going down to "R". What do you think about it? its that normal? In really hot days the niddle reached "L" specially when I had the car idling for 5 minutes or more. I just change the thermostat and I did a flush. I havent had chance to use a nozzle to clean the radiator for outside but I would like to know what do you think about this "funny" temperature gauge.Thanks.Robin.

Solution?. I took it for a flush already so maybe I just need a new radiator? Should I just learn to live with it? or it will be bad for the engine. Thanks.Robin

Well you can live with it unless you get stuck in traffic. Then it may boil up and blow your head gasket or crack a head. I'm sorry I'm late. A flush works ok, but usually if it begins to heat up under pressure or when in stop and go traffic. It is time to get the radiator "rodded out" Most likely someone has but some stop leak in the radiator. Take it to the radiator shop and he will clean it out or tell you it needs replaced. All rodding out is, they take off the ends and run a rod through it cleaning out the veins.   Chris Robertson

if you replaced the thermostat is it stuck shut by any chance?  even though it's new doesn't mean it can't be stuck.

Hi, Chris. Well I asked about the service and to get it cleaned really good cost like $120 and if I need to replace it it will be like $235 averything. Maybe I should wait to do that. After all if I keep the niddle in "L" or lower than "L" is ok right? and the fall is coming so maybe I can wait until next summer because when I am in traffic and its hot the niddle goes to "A" or "L". What do you think? and I need some cash to get the transmission flushed tomorrow LOL. Thanks.Robin

Hi, I forgot to tell you that I drive that car only like 30 miles a day three times a week so do you think that I can wait until next summer? so next summer I can just replace the radiator. Thank you.Robin.
