Okay now I'm confused. You're saying the Pacesetter's inlet and filter are down below and someone else says it's located next to the engine where the original airbox was. Does someone have a link with a picture showing a Pacesetter installed in a Probe so we can see for sure? I'm looking around for an intake myself right now and I'd hate to pass up on a good one because of some mis-information. -Lino Sacman, SCPOC '93 Rio-Red PSE, 5-spd

Hehehe...I don't think most people out here know about that Home Depot airbox you're talking about Sergio,  but yes those setups are definitely cold air intakes.         -Lino Sacman, SCPOC       '93 Rio-Red PSE, 5-spd       >how about the "home setup" of a down pipe and a home depot air box? Do you have pictures of your Pacesetter intake that you can send to us? I'd like to see one of these intakes on a Probe for myself. Thanks. -Lino Sacman, SCPOC '93 Rio-Red PSE, 5-spd

Just talked with my office mate.  He has a 1989 Probe LX with a 3.1 liter V-6.  I was mistaken earlier when I said 3.0, sorry.  I went out and looked at it.  it is definitely a 3.1 liter, 12 valve, V-6.

The 2.2 liter is also found in the LX and GL models, both Turbo and N/A
