hey guys, i thought this problem was only on my car, but i saw two other probes saturday night while scooping the loop in downtown des moines that had the same thing happening. i have a spot on my hatch where the paint looks to be eating away. it is getting bigger and bigger all the time. it turns white then turns the color of bare metal. it is now like the size of a circle of diameter of 4 inches. has anyone else had this problem? i have one guess as to what it is... i think it may be wiper fluid from the rear wiper that is causing it, because it seems that the fluid that gets wiped down might settle right there. i'm thinking this also because on my drivers' side rear quarter panel the same thing is starting to happen. if my theory is correct, the wiper fluid that gets wiped up may run down the quarter panel there. any ideas??? tim 93 se

My dad's ranger with a blue color and it pelled on the hood and roof, it was a problem that ford had with the paint/primer, it happened with a couple of other colors that i can't remeber. Might want to ask ford if there are any recalls on the color paint. chris
