all the advertisments i have seen for chips say its made for a stock probe, well, i have already put a complete new air intake, headers, and exhaust system on my 93 probe GT, and im thinking about putting a turbo or possibly NOS on it, will the chip not work anymore since theres a significant change already in the car? or would it not matter that i had any of this.... berberber

Charles, Any aftermarket chip will work fine with you car, assuming it is natrually aspirated. While the reprogrammed ECU will probably not be perfectly matched for various bolt-ons you have it will certainly be more aggresive than the stock programming. Probably the most profound changes involved in an ECU reprogram (for a naturally aspirated car) are new maps for fuel and ignition curves. Now while these chips are suitable for about any possible naturally aspirated (NA) set-up, it would not mixed well with a turbo application for supercharger application. I am not to familar with NOS apps, so I will not comment, as for turbo apps though, you typically look at retarding timing curves at higher boost to help control the change of detonation, while NA apps are just the opposite, by advancing the timing to increase engine output. Bottom line, if you seriously plan go with forced induction, don't have the ECU reprogrammed for stock or NA car, make sure they are tuning it for a forced induction application. Also, every chip I have heard of removes the speed governor. Enjoy, Bryan Pendleton http://members.tripod.com/~bryan_pendleton/index.html >
