I have had my car for just over two weeks and she looks so damned shiny I was wondering whether it is a good idea to get a perma-shine wax applies to the car to keep it looking brand new? Has anyone any experience with this?

I dont mind waxing myself, the only thing I am bothered about is excessive swirl marks appearing on the car - it is black!

How long should I wait before I give the whole car a good waxing, I have been told leave it for six months after the car was manufactured to allow the paint to "set", is this right?

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion nothing beats good a old fashioned hand waxing. I have tried several brands and types of wax. The best by far is from www.griotsgarage.com. I have a twilight blue ZX3 and swirl marks disappear with their products. Check out their "best in show" hand wax or the "Finest Hand Polish" for light scratches or swirls. A little expensive but well worth it because their stuff lasts far longer than anything else Ive tried..
