Has anyone on the list swaped the PSE bar for the PGT bar on there 2.0L Probe. My service manual claims they only differ by 1.8 mm, but it would still help balance the car out, with the application of the Adcco bar in rear. I know this can be done, because I know several PGT and MX-6 owner who compete in the GS class, and they actually use the PSE bar on their GT's. Enjoy, Bryan

My cousin's SE "HAD" a GT front sway bar, addco rear, RRE rear strut brace, and FD front strut brace, intrax springs, and koni shocks. I drove his car, and I hated it! It was so stiff, it drove like a slot car. Go into a corner juussstt a little to hard, and you were going into the bushes. I don't know the term to use "oversteer or understeer", but which ever one cause ever turn you make to be dramatically over emphasized, that was it. On a rainy day, he tried to switch lanes to fast, got side ways, and had a little fun smashing his SE into a gaurd rail. ~ Torrienta 2.0L Performance, www.geocities.com/Motorcity/1377 "pendleton, bryan p."

Hi again Torrienta, It's oversteer and it sounds like the common rain problem that I hear many PGT owner's on the Performance list after they install the Addco rear sway bar. I was looking real hard at getting one for my PSE one time until I heard about this problem to the GT's. The damn bar is just too thick (22mm) & stiff according to many owners. Our cars and especially the rear ends most likely are lighter than the PGT's and really don't need any bar that thick. The opinions are that a 19mm bar would be just about right. -Lino Sacman >My cousin's SE "HAD" a GT front sway bar, addco rear, RRE rear strut >brace, and FD front strut brace, intrax springs, and koni shocks. But, PSE (2.0L) owners have the option of swaping in the larger PGT front sway bar, which will help balance out the new thicker rear sway bar. This is the route I have decided to go. As for torrienta's cousin, I don't have an answer, but one thing I do know is with all the changes he did, I am sure he had a drastically different handling car, which I am sure needed a ton of suspension tuning to balance it out. As for "going into the bushes" that almost sounds like the car was back to the understeering situation. Torrienta!, Did you go into the bushes head on or did the tail in swing around and go into the bushes? 8-) Enjoy, Bryan probenet.tripod.com >
