Hi All, I am new member of this group. We have a Mustang Convertible 1999 in Turkey. The problem is: When i start the engine of my car and put the gear D or R or N my speedometer goes up random (it goes up 120 miles sometimes) while the car doesnt move. Then the engine stops. When the gear is on P position there is no problem. This problem dissapears when the engine temerature goes up little. Is there anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions? Attila

Could be a bad ignition switch, use your fist and thump under the steering column and see if that affects things. You might be able to take it out and tighten it up. Mike
