Hey list, I got a question for you all. Well my brother and I both have '95 Probe's. I have the SE and he has the base. Well My question is, how come his is faster than mine. They both have ATX's. His has 65,000 miles on it and i don't think he ever got a tune up or his oil changed. I baby my car and I always get it tuned up, hell I even have a new engine in it. It seem that in my car, even before I put mod's on it, the gas pedal is very spongy, like the power in not right to the wheels. In my brother's car, once you put an ounce of pressure on the gas pedal, it takes off like a bat out of hell! I have a brand new fuel filter, platinum spark plugs gapped right, new wires, and I always change my ATX fluid and use synthetic engine oil. Is there something wrong with my car? ATX=AuTomatic transaXle , Frontdrivers have a tranny in-line with the drive axle ,hence the term, transaxle. Nicholas A. Manka

Manufacturing tolerances, rim & tire combinations, tire wear and size, overall vehicle weight, driver weight, etc, etc. I'm sure someone with the knowledge could probably list a whole page of possiblities, but there could also me some subtle problems with your car as well. Enjoy, Bryan >

Maybe you need to check your air filter for any problems or to change it.
