Hey all you Ford Bronce owners
What's up?I have a Black 96 Ford Bronce Eddie Bauer with a five speed tranny and a 4.9 Liter I6 300.It's got all the buttons just like a XLT,really nice truck but here's my dillema the I6 300 it just don't have it and I want to put a 351 HO Lightning engine in. I'm gonna need all the help and tips I can get from
you guys so I would greatly appreciate it if you could e-mail me some information on how do this. I would really like to find a wrecked/totalled Ford Lightning so I could get all the electronic components necessary for this type of procedure.
Or if that would be too hard or expensive what kind up upgrades could I do to the I6 300?
Thanks,
Freddie S.

Well, if you want to swap in an engine into a Ford BroncO, it wouldnt be all that difficult. The motor mounts would be retained. You would most likely need to swap in the Lightning's computer and wiring harness, and you'll also need to retain the air intake tube or fab a new one.
I-6's last longer than the V-8's available in late model broncos, and significant performance gains can be had from an ignition system, a Clifford header, and a free flowing exhaust + a K&N.

Thanks Dude, I think I'm gonna stick with the I 6 and make it walk the dog by putting a Clifford header on it and a high performance header on.
