I recently put in the jpec cam. Now my car wont start. it just turns but its like theres no compression. All my timing is right, so i dont know what else it could be. Is there a chance that if the ecu isnt reset the car wont start? Because now that i think about it we never took the neg. battery terminal off. So any info would be much appreciated. are all vacuum hoses plugged in? plug wires - esp the coil wire, how about connections attached to the maf... etc.. just be sure everything is connected properly.. and why not try taking the neg terminal off anyways.. then hook it back up.... its worth a try..maybe ur not getting fuel or spark.. well if it was his timming belt his car would not be running at all, also since our engine is interference you could of messed up some were and messed up the engine what I mean by interference is that if you Fudge up the timming you F** your car up which can lead up to a blwon engine, I use to work at a chrylser dealership and I saw that happen to a Sebring the timming belt broke and well the engine went bye bye so take it to a shop and let a mechanic look at it to be on the safe side also take it to some one you trust so that they want try to rip you a brand new ass hole

Hey guys thanks for the input, but i got it finished yesterday. Apparently in my engine the cam gears have an I and an E that also have marks on them to set the timing. Well my Haynes doesn't say anything about the I and E. So I was 90 degrees out on the intake side. Now that I know that it kinda seems like common sense, so u can call me a dumb ass if u want. But now I cant set my ignition timing. Any ideas? And did I miss my chance on getting some of those Protech cam gears? Thanks a lot Jai 95 626 intake exhaust jacobs ignition jspec cam

What is the indication that your ignition timing is off? The disty is geared directly off your exhaust camshaft and should not change unless you've pulled the disty out. A guy on www.probetalk.com is selling his adjustable cam gear set. Just search in the For Sale forum. HTH, Bill
