I noticed my Explorer parked in the driveway last night looked a bit funny, so I got out the tape measure. The left rear is sitting about 1.5 inches lower than the right rear. I did a quick once-over and didn't see anything obvious. What would the most likely suspect be? The shocks were replaced about 2 years ago--the bottom of the one on the HIGH side looked like it was covered with oil. Bad leaf spring? Do they go bad? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks, Andy

Weird, isn't it? I have an F250 Super Cab with PowerStroke and it has a list to the left as does my sons 1997 Ranger Splash. I hope some one has an answer. Ours are not as prevalent as yours measured out to be, but definitely noticible.   mayf, the red necked ignorant desert rat in Pahrump.

My '99 was like that from new, and quite noticeable - so I took back to the dealer and they replaced the left rear springs. Still sagged a bit on that side but not as much. So I just figured it's 'normal'. I have since replaced the original shocks at 20K with Rancho's and sag remains. Maybe cause of the gas tank on that side?? PigHead
