Well, the chip made by Superchip for my
truck(4.0L V-6) gives you 17hp and I think about 30ftlbs
torque. It does 2 things on mine, and i'm assuming the
same with you, it takes off your governer at 100, and
it allows you to crank 500 for RPM's. At least with
my truck, the optimial shift point is around 5200 so
it's pointless to have more RPM span anyway. I have
heard on the 4.0 that it works best when other mods
have already been done and it should be the last. How
much have you done? If I were you i'd think about
putting that $200 into an intake and a little more for an
exhaust. I've got tons of mods on my 2000 ranger. Check it
