Has anyone had any experience with installing a universal power lock actuator. Here's an example I found online: http://www.commandocaralarms.com/itemdetails.asp?ProductID=552 It appears that the actuators in both front doors of my 98 Windstar are worn out. Replacing them with factory units looks like it would be a nightmare with trying to get all the linkages disconnected. On the factory unit the actuator is attached directly to the door latch and, according to what I fould on fordparts.com, the latch and actuator are sold as a complete unit. It's also rediculously expensive. I wonder if it would work just as well to install a universal actuator, disconnect the factory one, and splice the universal's wiring into the factory actuators harness. Rad

I have the same problem with my 99 Windstar. The front passenger side is sticky and work about 25 % of the time. The divers side does not work at all, but both rear sliding doors work fine. This definitely looks like an option I will look into.
