Howdy, all- New member who, like everyone else, is seeking more power. I just bought an '01 supercab w/ 3.0L/4spd. auto, all stock. I'm looking for reasonably cheap upgrades that'll deliver some noticeable power. I'm thinking about airbox & muffler changes. Any suggestions? Also, on auction sites like eBay, I can find any number of airbox kits & adapters, but I have no way of predicting whether they'll work. Any hints? Thanks- Noel

Hey Noel, I was in your boat recently, 01 supercab but I found the 4.0 sohc w/ 5spd auto. I found about a 10% increase with the cheapest cold air intake i could find on ebay. Then went to a local muffler shop and upgraded to the 3" pipe with a 50 series flowmaster single out for about $250. I came out with 237hp on the chassis dyno, 207hp is stock on the engine dyno. Besides the power increase I gained about 3-4 mpg too. I dont know if this helped any but maybe I helped steer you in the right direction... Later, TJ
