I was looking at the radiators in the FMS catalog the other day, and in the
description for the rads it said the tranny cooler could also be used as P/S
cooler. My 89 originally was a 4 cyl., and the cooler on my donor car was in
pretty rough shape so I ran with out it. I currently have a 3 core Modine rad.
in the car now with a tranny cooler (unused), and I was wondering if there would
be an advantage to running the P/S through that cooler? Will this lower the
temp. on the fluid or raise it? I see that Ford does a similar thing with there
engine oil coolers. If this would help the P/S system in any way I would do it,
the cost of doing it is minimal. The car is primarily street driven, but I plan
to do some road racing in the near future. Any input on this would be greatly
appreciated.
