I just checked my new issue of sport compact car, and in the back was an ad from landspeed racing that offered an air intake from powercore for the probe se, and i was wondering if this would work for a base auto.

Sounds worthy of some research. Powercore? SE . . Base . . same thing, now the automatic is a different story. This is the first time I have every heard of Powercore. >

The powercore is just an adapter for a cone filter that bolts directly onto the MAF in place of the stock air box. I have one on my car as part of my home made intake. "Pendleton,

I think the power core does have the adapter that goes onto the MAF but also comes with itake tubue that mounts onto that. As in fitting a atx probe umm it will probally be to short, BUT you can make it longer and then put the cone filter on cause that is what I had done with my Akimoto intake on my base atx probe.
