I have a couple questions that other people have mentioned, but I have
not seen a response.
My car is a 99 SE Sport, 2.5 with MTX and 50K. I have added SVT
exhaust & wheels. I love driving the car, but it could use more power.
I have to drive it fairly hard to stay with fast stop & go traffic.
Some of the new cars out the last couple of years are really quick.
Well here are my problems.
1. The power steering is making groaning noises when turning the
wheel.
I first noticed the noise only while parking, but lately I can hear
the groaning sound in low speed cornering. I checked the fluid level
and it seemed fine, so I added slightly more fluid, but it made no
difference. Anyone know what is going on with the steering? The pump,
rack & pinion, ?????
2. The car is loud at idle, like a wooshing sound from the engine. I
have installed the throttle hang fix to make the RPMs drop after
shifting. It seems to idle at about 850 RPM & 750 RPM with the AC on.
I can't find any vacuum leaks.
3. I get a buzzing vibration on the clutch pedal & gas pedal as the
RPMs goe up, but not on the break pedal. Would a Dual Mode Damper
smooth out vibrations from the engine? Maybe new motor mounts?
Thanks for any and all advice
