What is the difference between the GT tranny and the SE tranny. I am able to get a totaled GT that has the tranny and engine all in good condition for $500. I was thinking of using it for a parts car. I might be needing a new tranny soon and was wondering if the GT one would work in an SE...thanks Marc

The GT tranny is gear lower than the SE in 4th and 5th, and I believe the final drive gear is lower too. Bryan >

From what I understand from Scooters auto when I had to replace my tranny. Is there are two trannys used. It could be either one. The way to tell is if you have a very rare and unreliable single pan with no filter piece of crap like mine or a twin pan slightly more reliable one. They are not interchangeable. -Rob
