Hello Group, Yesterday I had the privelage of walking out to my car and discover that some inconsiderate slob, hit my door and took off without leaving a note. I have to bring it in to a Ford dealership to get an estimate. Since I am not knowledgable with respect to body work, anything I should be aware of with respect to the way they fix it?? I dont want them to bang out this mess and fill it with bondo. I am afraid with the temperature differentials of the seasons, ( I live in vermont) that the repair wont last long. Any input would be appreciated. I bought this car in pristine condition. It makes me sick looking at the door. Thanks Kenny 95 Ford Probe SE

Kenny, I had the same thing happen to me last winter.. only I went into the ditch on an icy road. they'll probably replace the door shell and the ground effects (if you have them). Depending on the shop, it will look fine. Mine does. tim '93 PSE p.s. I know what you mean about it making the car look bad.. i had to keep it like that for a few months.. no $... and it was just a little dent

Kenny this is just an idea. But if you can get a decal, go to a company who makes decals and ask them to reproduce the SE stickers for you. So then you can put a new set of decals on the doors.

Hey, my door is dented really bad, they won't fill it in with bondo or anything, ford dealers do the work properly. They replace the outside skin on the door, if it's a tiney dent, then they'll pull it out or whatever it takes. It'll be okay, your probe will be pretty again. Carolyn 96 Se >

hey guys and galls, just a note, do your selves a favor and dont get the SE-R stickers, a true SE-R is a Nissan Sentra SE-R, my roommate has an SE-R, and is on the SE-R mailing list and you will get made fun of for it. those are a bit of my thoughts, you can listen to them or not its up to you.

I agree with you, however there are listed alot of other ones there. Including the GT strips. I went for a different approach and cut my own for my doors and all. You can make a good stencil with some poster board and a laser printer using Word and power point. You can get the vinyl at any sign shop. Just more thoughts!
