I have an '88 CV 5.0 and I want to fabricate a forced-air induction for it. The stock induction is terrible, it is very flat to fit over the radiator and under the hood and it probably flows like molasses in January. The problem I am facing is that there is nowhere to run an induction setup besides the current location. There is plenty of room between the front bumper and radiator, and also below the radiator, but no way to get to those locations because of pieces of frame metal and stuff. I don't have the tools, knowledge, or skills to cut through my frame, so i'm stuck... Has anyone else attempted this?

Heaven sakes, just port and polish you stock induction plate and you pick up about 20+ HP! Never put stuff under the radiator! It you drove allot and checked that antifreeze then you would melt your stuff, also never put induction stuff at the bottom cause you'll pick up all the dirt off the road and clog your filter. Put mobile 1 synthetic, with a K&N oil filter and K&N air filter, also port and polish your curl over style to the new gaskets and as far deep as you can get smooth it out. Also there aluminum after markets for the 302, they should be at the local automotive store. Also theres a thing called "smartchip" witch you can retune you car to give you extreme power, good MPG, good towing ratio, and all the good stuff. Oh and some of you might of heard of the new "Blue Filter"? Well there crap, K&N is better, also ever here of that "tornado" that even worse, yes it swirls you air so it mixes with the gas better but also slows down you air into your car so you use more gas! I use to get about 20 MPG and after using the "tornado" I got about 14 MPG! The "smartchip" has been one ebay before, might be there again? dunno, but that will hlp. Laterz Blue Steel
