Get some underdrive pulleys. You can get them from Summit racin, or Ford SVO motorsport.

An underdrive pulley will bring more power to your wheels without hurting the water pump of alternator. But, beausethe alternator spins about 25% less at idle, if you have mega wattage stereo and lots of other accessories, then you might be draining your battery at idle. Once RPM go to about 1000, everthing is charged adequately.

I have underdrive pulleys on my '94LX, and I've notice more off the line zip. More importantly, when I drive under my normal driving conditions, I'm getting about 2mpg better!

TT
