I know that there have been posts before on this subject but I am still confused. The motors on my Windstar (both sides) only open and do not close. I have obtained two sets of motors from junk yards which have been tested before shipment and both of these do the same thing as my existing ones -- they only go in one direction even when the motor is disengaged from the cables. I have measured the voltage going to the motors and it is + or - 12 or so volts depending on the position of the rocker switch so that seems OK. Any explanations or suggestions?

Are you absolutely sure that the rocker switches are good? I only ask because I had the same problem in my old '96 Windstar (windows open but don't close). I initially thought it was the motor, but it turned out to be the switch. Tom K.
