My car is a week old and has 250 miles on it and I just noticed something this morning. For some reason this morning I reached up and touched the roof and noticed that it wasn't glued on to the metal part of the roof. It's like hanging down a little, maybe 1/4 of an inch or so, and it's like that alomst throughout the car. Has anyone else noticed this. Has anyone talked to their dealer about it; if so, what was the resonse. Or is it suppose to be that way?

Thanks

I just went and checked my 2000 Kona with just over 300 miles and it's the same way. I guess it's supposed to be like that?!?

My ZX3 is also the same. I noticed that many parts are "snaped on".

well, you know how the focus costs around 12 or 13k? thats why. Ford, as much as I love the focus, had to cut a few corners to make such an athstetic, cool driving car. All interior panels are made of plastic, and attached by CHEAP metal clips- if any of you have taken these off to maybe install a stereo component you know what I mean, I broke off about 5 clips and part of my drivers side seatbelt thing (it's still safe and confortable, jsut broken :)). The focus ZX3 comes with alot of cool add-ons, (the good wheels, rims, teh leather steering wheel, the sport bucket seats, the leather shift boot, the stereo system, the Zetec), stuff that normal cars costing around there could only dream about. As much as ford is trying ot buy into a younger market segment (to bait them into buying fords for a while into their lives I might add), they still had ot do some magic to make this car happen.

the roof gap is probobly just something that acame loose or something, just go get some of that 3M spray adhesive and fix it, or bring it back to teh dealer and ask for a warantee extention or something :)
