Hello, I have a 1994 Ford Econoline E150 luxury conversion van with 70,000 miles on it. Last night the leftmost dashboard light burned out. It lights up the oil pressure gauge and the temperature gauge. The bulb is behind the dashboard gauges. My questions is: 1) How can I replace this bulb myself? 2) How much would an honest mechanic charge to replace this bulb. Thanks in advance for your Email reply. - Bill

Don, Thank you for your Email about replacing the bulb behind my oil pressure/temperature gauge (behind the glass and instrument cluster) on my dashboard. This bulb should go on when I put my lights on at night. But the bulb blew out. I want to try to do this job myself, but I was hoping you could be more specific in your instructions: 1) Do I need to remove the 2 vertical screws near the top of the instrument cluster (which are outside the glass and easily accessible)? 2) When you mention that "I can reach up behind the dashboard", should I be reaching from under the dashboard, or from above (after removing the 2 vertical screws mentioned in (1) above)? Please send me as much detailed information as possible. I want to attempt this repair with as much detailed information as possible. Thank you in advance for your help. - Bill
