I have a 1995 Explorer that has big time steering problems. In fact, it steers like an old log wagon. We have enstalled a new power steering pump and checked the lines, which are fine. The most perplexing thing is that the problem comes and goes and for weeks at a time. Any answers?

Are you talking lots of play or hard to turn. Even if the pump is bad, it would only steer hard. Lots of play has more to do with steering linkabe problems

It turns real hard. There is not a problem with sloppy linkage.
