After replacing the valve diverter block in the rack assembly, the steering on my 89 XL is transformed. Like new. Not only that, but the constant moaning from the PS pump also ceased. Now it just moans a little when actually turning the wheel. Replacing this makes a huge difference to the steering system. Clive

Wow, that is amazing!? I just got my Aerostar back from the shop (Pepboys, for an unrelated problem, brakes) and on the work order it states that my Aerostar has the usual whine in the PS system!? I guess these are known for their noisy ps systems!
