I wonder if someone can clarify something for me. I noticed that '65 six-cylinder Mustangs have a Radiator Support to Hood Seal. It's a rubber gasket that effectively blocks off the space between the hood and the radiator support. However, I don't ever recall seeing this seal on Mustangs equipped with V-8 engines. Does anyone know why this seal was present on the 6-cylinder model, but not the V-8? Is it to force the air to go through the radiator?

Yes, in '67 anyway it was put on to help get more air flow for the big block cars. I installed one on my '67 coupe w/460 and it helped lower the temp a few degrees. Brian www.472ci-67mustang.com
