has anyone ever thought of doing a GT disc swap on their 2.0's? I am seriously considering it and just wondered how much of a pain in the a$$ that would be and how hard on the wallet it would be. hi rotten boots....... I did the rear disk swap it was easy.... I used stillen cross drillen sport rotors... they were $700 cdn for the rotors pads and MOTUL high heat racing brake fluid.... finding a quality GT rear end is difficult but expect to pay in the neighborhood of $350 cdn. Im not sure what that is in american $$$. Ive noticed and tested the results. I did it in 2 stages doing the fronts first.... i noticed OK results..... the most of improvement was noticed in the brake temperatur.....therefore fade was ultimately reduced. When I added the read end including stillen cd rotors i noticed huge returns..... our car is lighter than the gt ofcourse, and when i tested the results... I took off a good 25 feet in stopping distance when stopping from 120 kph... so it all depends on how serious you are about safety and reliability on you r braking system. I want to upgrade my engine soon so therefore i fid it essential to do this upgrade. and i must say it does add alot of peace of mind, while driving. anyways yeah if you want to know precise details... shoot an email and ill give out the full instructions on how to do the swap. take care Derek >
