oops wrong reply... Yea I had the same problem, it annoying. Goto autozone, advanced autoparts, whatever, and just pick up some after market ones, there about $25 each, they are really easy to change and they have a lifetime warenty. If you don't have a Hanyes Manual yet, get one, they explain how to change them in there. Whatever you do, do not get them from Ford! Joe

I just did this last weekend, it really is as simple as it looks, unbolt the old one and bolt on the new. My any advise is that the hatch is much heavier then it looks, get someone (not something) to hold it up while you do all the bolting. With me doing the replacing and my friend holding up the hatch it took 20 minutes from getting the wrench out to putting it away. Really very easy. -- Give it a shot 'http://www.alladvantage.com/go.asp?refid=FCQ-517' Why Not?

I think almost everyone has this problem by now. If you go to the ford dealer and buy hatch lifts they will RIP YOU OFF!!!! I think they charged $75 EACH. Trak Auto has them for $30 each, which is still pricey, but nice if you do not like the trunk falling on your head. If anyone has found a better deal on the internet please let us know, peace evan << my rear hatch supports no longer work, i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how hard it is to fix, i already bought new supports but any advice will be welcomed! Yes I had a problem with my car rattling a lot. So this is what I did, went to my friends storeo shop and asked him what is the best a cheapest way to stop the rattling. He said I should buy some Dyna-mat and put it all over my trunk. Then he said to get some insulation from Home-depot, like the stuff that is in your ceiling. It helped out a lot. Hope this helps you out a little. Matt Knudsen
