i have a 1980 broco and the rear window wont go up or down. the motor has power and when it is not mounted will turn but will not turn when it is mounted to the gears. any help would be appreciated motor is only 70 dollars just trying to make sure there is not a way to tighten the gears or something

i have an 89 eb also with a rear window problem...<br>it will go up and down from the dash...<br>it will go down from the remote start...<br>it will not go up or down from the rear key...<br>thanks,<br>tim

I also have a 89 with similar problems.My window only works from the rear key and it acts like it wants to go up from the dash but not down.Any ideas would be greatful.<br>thanks

i had a wire that was broken right were the tailgate closes. so look were the wires are going to the tailgate were it hinges. that may help.

I've seen alot of problems with those rear windows from the mid to late 80s Broncos. I have yet to have a problem with mine on my 78. I wonder what Ford did

From what I understand the tailgates are pretty much the same from 78 to 86. the differences are how it latches and stuff. Maybe the wiring is different. But if the temp is cold my window will not work from the key. but it always has worked from inside the truck.

why would you want to get rid of an 80 bronco for a 95 talk about jumpin up it will be hard to work on all that electonics and stuff
