I ordered a new set of key (key itself and the remote). I left the old remote at home while my car was sent to dealership to be repaired from hail storm damage. I got my car and key back today. I found out the old remote doesn't work anymore. At first I thought the battery went bad, but after I swap those batteries, the new remote still works. My old remote was sitting on my desk these weeks. I don't think sitting there for 2 weeks will cause the damage. When I opened up those two remotes, I found the 4 digit numbers are different. Does this mean anything? Thanks a lot. ps. Thank you guys earlier for the rear wiper reponse. I'll give it a try later! Tina

Yes, it means they operate on different frequencies, and the dealer reset the receiver in your truck to the new code. Per page 166 of my manual, you should have given them all the others too, and told them all must work. .."when purchasing additional transmitters...You will need to take all your transmitters to the dealer so they can program them .. all at the same time "- page 166   Obviously, remotes, like keys must have various combinations, otherwise your remote could open every other Ford product in the area.
