You can save yourself a LOT of time and Money by going to the store (hardware preferably)
and get a bore bit about 18" to 24" long. (3/4" to 1" will work. Don't really matter, your not drilling a hole)
Take the bore bit and bush the sharp tip end up into the connector snap part and pull gently on the wire.
This makes it O' so much easier. To install the new one, screw it in first then place the sharp tip in the
hole that the wire goes into the back side of the connector and push it back into the connector.
I've done a bunch of these, and was determined to find a better way.
